EFT Tapping:
The History & Science
EFT tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) combines modern psychology with ancient acupuncture principles. It began in 1980 with "Thought Field Therapy", developed by psychiatrist Roger Callahan, who used tapping on energy meridians to support emotional healing. In the 1990s, Stanford engineer Gary Craig simplified this technique into a universal tapping method that is used today.
Based on over 5,000 years of acupuncture knowledge, EFT involves gently tapping on meridian points on the face and upper body to help balance energy and support emotional well-being. Tapping balances your energy system while you are tuned into the problem, eliminating the cause.
A Pilot study found that an hour of tapping positively influenced gene expression in 72 genes.
